{"id":52710,"date":"2018-04-02T20:35:23","date_gmt":"2018-04-02T19:35:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/alexandra-exter.net\/gand-capitale-de-la-desinformation-artistique\/"},"modified":"2019-12-25T17:07:39","modified_gmt":"2019-12-25T16:07:39","slug":"gand-capitale-de-la-desinformation-artistique","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alexandra-exter.net\/en\/gand-capitale-de-la-desinformation-artistique\/","title":{"rendered":"Gand, capitale de la d\u00e9sinformation artistique&nbsp;?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Depuis la fin du mois d\u2019octobre dernier un accrochage d\u2019\u0153uvres attribu\u00e9es aux artistes majeurs de l\u2019avant-garde russe, dont Exter, a eu lieu au Mus\u00e9e des Beaux-Arts de Gand (Flandres).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cette pr\u00e9sentation a provoqu\u00e9 une vive r\u00e9action dans la communaut\u00e9 artistique europ\u00e9enne et dans celle russe en particulier. Igor Toporovski, adversaire acharn\u00e9 de l\u2019Association Alexandra Exter est au centre de l\u2019\u00e9v\u00e8nement que la presse internationale d\u00e9signe d\u00e9sormais avec le terme de \u00ab\u00a0scandale\u00a0\u00bb, car suite \u00e0 une lev\u00e9e g\u00e9n\u00e9rale des boucliers dans la presse artistique l\u2019exposition de Gand a \u00e9t\u00e9 ferm\u00e9e. Suite \u00e0 une lettre collective sign\u00e9e le 6 mars 2018 par plusieurs directeurs de mus\u00e9es belges (voir <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/news.artnet.com\/exhibitions\/experts-say-russian-modernism-show-ghent-museum-highly-questionable-1198757\" target=\"_blank\">news.artnet.com<\/a>) et d\u2019un texte paru dans le journal <em>De Standaart<\/em> le 7 mars 2018, Catherine de Zegher, la directrice du Mus\u00e9e des Beaux-Arts de Gand vient d\u2019\u00eatre d\u00e9mise le m\u00eame jour de ses fonctions (voir <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"http:\/\/www.lesoir.be\/144103\/article\/2018-03-07\/la-directrice-dun-musee-gantois-accusee-davoir-menti-face-aux-politiques-locaux\" target=\"_blank\">www.lesoir.be<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019affaire de Gand est loin d\u2019\u00eatre termin\u00e9e car des journalistes russes se sont lanc\u00e9s dans la v\u00e9rification des r\u00e9f\u00e9rences fournies par le propri\u00e9taire des \u0153uvres et les r\u00e9f\u00e9rences \u00e9clatent l\u2019une apr\u00e8s l\u2019autre comme des bulles de savon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Apr\u00e8s de nombreux textes dans la presse internationale (en particulier dans le <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theartnewspaper.com\/news\/commission-to-investigate-dubious-russian-avant-garde-works-disbands-due-to-a-de-facto-veto-of-our-work\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Art Newspaper<\/em><\/a> de Londres et le <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theartnewspaper.ru\/posts\/5409\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Art Newspaper Russia<\/em><\/a>) on trouvera ici le premier article cons\u00e9quent paru dans la presse fran\u00e7aise&nbsp;: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.la-croix.com\/Journal\/saga-europeenne-detranges-tableaux-russes-2018-03-07-1100918723\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>La Croix<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dans ses d\u00e9clarations \u00e0 la presse le propri\u00e9taire des \u0153uvres a fait \u00e9tat de l\u2019\u00ab&nbsp;authentification&nbsp;\u00bb des peintures attribu\u00e9es \u00e0 Alexandra Exter par la justice fran\u00e7aise de Tours, peintures qui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 saisies, car elles ont \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00eat\u00e9es en 2009 \u00e0 l\u2019exposition de Tours et une de ses \u0153uvres &#8211; \u00ab&nbsp;Florence&nbsp;\u00bb qui serait de 1914, &nbsp;figurait dans l\u2019accrochage de Gand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trois peintures appartenant \u00e0 Igor Toporovski ont \u00e9t\u00e9 dans un premier temps effectivement saisies avec l\u2019ensemble de l\u2019exposition par la Police fran\u00e7aise. Suite \u00e0 deux expertises contradictoires pratiqu\u00e9es sur \u00ab&nbsp;Florence&nbsp;\u00bb&nbsp;\u00bb, les 3 peintures appartenant \u00e0 Igor Toporovski ont \u00e9t\u00e9 restitu\u00e9es \u00e0 leur propri\u00e9taire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019on retiendra que les examens pratiqu\u00e9s sur la peinture \u00ab\u00a0Florence\u00a0\u00bb se sont cantonn\u00e9es au domaine des seuls pigments. Or, l\u2019on rappellera que l\u2019\u00e9tude des pigments n\u2019est qu\u2019un <em>stade pr\u00e9liminaire<\/em> \u00e0 toute \u00e9tude en profondeur d\u2019une \u0153uvre d\u2019art, les pigments de l\u2019\u00e9poque 1900-1920 \u00e9tant, \u00e0 quelques exceptions pr\u00e8s, disponibles \u00e0 ce jour. (Il en est de m\u00eame pour les papiers anciens et autres mat\u00e9riaux \u2013 par exemple des toiles, qui, une fois gratt\u00e9es, peuvent \u2013\u00eatre r\u00e9utilis\u00e9es, ceci \u00e9tant une pratique courante des faussaires).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Une \u0153uvre plastique (peinture, gouache ou autre) est constitu\u00e9e de <strong>formes<\/strong> et ce sont ces formes donc leur r\u00e9alisation qui, en d\u00e9finitive, demandent d\u2019\u00eatre examin\u00e9es en cas d\u2019interrogations relatives \u00e0 leur attribution \u00e0 tel ou autre artiste. Seule une \u00e9tude en profondeur de l\u2019\u0153uvre d\u2019art permet de s\u2019approcher du processus cr\u00e9ateur, c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire du travail de la main de l\u2019artiste et donc de formuler un avis par rapport \u00e0 l\u2019attribution d\u2019une \u0153uvre. Ces \u00e9tudes sont r\u00e9alis\u00e9es\u00a0gr\u00e2ce aux diff\u00e9rentes <em>techniques non destructives<\/em> et en premier lieu par des simples <em>radiographies.<\/em> (Aujourd\u2019hui on connait plusieurs techniques d\u2019examen en profondeur d\u2019une \u0153uvre, techniques d\u2019investigation radiographique encore plus performantes, qui permettent d\u2019analyser diff\u00e9rentes strates de peinture).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Or Igor Toporovski a refus\u00e9 que la peinture \u00ab&nbsp;Florence&nbsp;\u00bb soit soumise \u00e0 une \u00e9tude radiographique, demande qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 formul\u00e9e par l\u2019Association Alexandra Exter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il en a \u00e9t\u00e9 de m\u00eame avec les objets pr\u00e9sent\u00e9s \u00e0 Gand dont Catherine de Zegher, la directrice du mus\u00e9e, a affirm\u00e9 \u00e0 plusieurs reprises \u00eatre en mesure de pr\u00e9senter la \u00ab&nbsp;documentation&nbsp;\u00bb (laquelle&nbsp;?), une documentation qui se fait toujours attendre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les peintures pr\u00e9sent\u00e9es dans l\u2019accrochage du Mus\u00e9e des Beaux-Arts de Gand ayant \u00e9t\u00e9 saisies, on esp\u00e8re qu\u2019elles subiront des \u00e9tudes mat\u00e9rielles approfondies ce qui avancera notre connaissance par rapport \u00e0 leur attribution \u00e0 tel ou autre main.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Depuis la fin du mois d\u2019octobre dernier un accrochage d\u2019\u0153uvres attribu\u00e9es aux artistes majeurs de l\u2019avant-garde russe, dont Exter, a eu lieu au Mus\u00e9e des Beaux-Arts de Gand (Flandres).
